As a Leader

My story begins in the bustling halls of my school, where I first felt the pull of leadership. It wasn’t something that happened overnight, but rather a journey that unfolded in unexpected ways, starting with my time in Bharath Scouts and Guides. When I joined, I didn’t realize how much it would shape me, but as the days passed, I knew this was where I belonged.

Determined to excel, I set high expectations for myself. I was ready to lead, and before long, I became the Patrol Leader of my school’s scout group. My team, the Antelopes, was unstoppable. We worked hard, and our efforts paid off when we won the Best Patrol award at an annual camp. The moment I was named the Best Scout of my batch, I felt a rush of pride, not just for myself but for the journey that had brought me there. When the governor of our state presented me with the Rajyapuraskar Award, it felt like the crowning moment of my scouting adventure.

But that was just one chapter in my journey.

Back at school, I found a new adventure waiting for me. I joined Jarvis, a video editing team, where I took on the role of Coordinator. For three years, I designed invitations and handled all things digital for various events. It was a different kind of leadership—one that required precision, creativity, and teamwork. Leading Jarvis taught me how to collaborate with others, how to pay attention to the finest details, and how to bring my vision to life.

Another turning point came when I became the coordinator for our school’s annual magazine. I met so many different people, each with their own unique perspective. It was an incredible learning experience, and I discovered how crucial it is to understand others and adapt to different situations.

One of my proudest moments was when I initiated a tree-planting venture that gathered over 100 participants, including my principal and students from nearby schools. Together, we planted trees and took a stand for something bigger than ourselves. That day reinforced what I’d always believed: true leadership is about inspiring others to act for the greater good.

Looking back, every challenge, every opportunity, has shaped who I am. From scouting to leading creative teams, I’ve learned what it means to guide others and work toward a shared goal. And as I continue on this journey, I know the challenges ahead will only push me further. I’m ready to keep growing, to keep leading, and to take on whatever comes next.
